EEG Z-Score Training

The idea behind Z-Score neurofeedback is that instead of training complex EEG parameters with various magnitudes and units, training with a standardized or normalized Z-Score can make neurofeedback training more easy to understand and work with. As with classical neurofeedback, the principles of learning the desired changes through operant conditioning, still apply.

    How is it measured?

The main difference with traditional neurofeedback is that the client will train with Z-Scores rather than levels of microvolts, hertz or ratios. The Z-Score function developed by Applied Neuroscience Inc. (USA), is based on joint time frequency analysis (JTFA) and specially designed for neurofeedback in other words, for near real-time use.
